Yoni Shedlo, LMSW (He/Him)
Licensed Therapist
Yoni Shedlo implements an eclectic approach to therapy which is humanistic, holistic, and trauma informed. He upholds the conviction that you are the expert on your feelings and provides tools to support you towards self-love and self-acceptance. His modalities informing practice are Strengths Based Approaches, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Allyship, Attachment Theory, Humanistic Therapy, LGBTQ Issues, Relationship Issues and Psychodynamic Theories.
He is a strong advocate for the power of the therapeutic relationship and holding clients in a non-judgmental field of positive and warm regard.
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry 's transcendent quote "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye" is his guiding light in therapy. His practice philosophy is informed by the notion that there is a cyclical relationship between one's ability to heal from trauma and the connection people have with themselves and their loved ones. He views his sessions as an opportunity to work collaboratively with the intention of making meaning out of your life no matter what you may be coming to therapy for.
